ABOUT TÜRK EXIMBANK

Transparent and efficient partner for exporters

Türk Eximbank conducts its activities based on the principles of an exporter-oriented approach, sustainability, effective risk management, transparency, efficient resource utilization, and inclusive growth.

Globally, Eximbanks and Export Credit Agencies (ECAs) play a critical role in promoting countries’ foreign trade, facilitating exporters’ access to finance, and enhancing their international competitiveness. These institutions perform a complementary function by offering export credits, export insurance and guarantees, buyer’s credits, and political and commercial risk coverage, particularly for export transactions to long-term, high-value, and high-risk markets. Acting as a strategic instrument in areas where the commercial banking system alone is insufficient, these structures contribute directly to countries’ sustainable export and growth targets.

As Türkiye’s official export credit agency, Türk Eximbank was established in 1987 to develop the country’s foreign trade volume and support exporters with loans and insurance. The Bank provides short-, medium-, and long-term financing, insurance, and guarantee services to companies that export goods and services and undertake projects abroad. Serving all stakeholders in the export ecosystem with a wide range of products, Türk Eximbank supports Turkish companies in entering new markets and increasing their global competitiveness by minimizing the commercial and political risks arising from exporters’ sales on deferred payment terms.

Türk Eximbank conducts its activities based on the principles of an exporter-oriented approach, sustainability, effective risk management, transparency, efficient resource utilization, and inclusive growth. Acting with an awareness of its public responsibility, the Bank’s primary goal is to develop financing, insurance, and guarantee models that provide lasting added value to the national economy.

Prioritizing access to Eximbank support for all exporters, especially SMEs, the Bank continues to make a strategic contribution to Türkiye’s export-driven economic development with its advantageous products and services. In addition to providing working capital and investment financing, Türk Eximbank protects companies against collection and market risks through receivables insurance and Treasury transactions, playing a significant role in the sustainable growth of Türkiye’s foreign trade with this holistic approach.

Operating from its head office in Istanbul, Türk Eximbank is one of the main institutions supporting Türkiye’s export strategy, with a strong paid-in capital of TL 88.4 billion and a specialized workforce of 883 employees. Aiming to facilitate exporters’ access to financing and secure trade opportunities, Türk Eximbank serves exporters throughout Türkiye through its service network of 24 strategically located branches and 8 liaison offices.
